RYA Day Skipper

RYA DAY SKIPPER

The RYA Day Skipper Practical is a course for aspiring skippers with some yachting experience and basic navigation and sailing skills. It’s a gret option if you’re looking for a yachting holiday with the benefit of professional tuition!

This course is all about getting familiar with the many joys of sailing and cruising – with plenty of time to explore the local area and enjoy a drink at one of our many stunning waterside pubs! You’ll have the chance to explore the delights of the Cornish coast, with at least one longer passage during your time onboard.

Learn to skipper a short passage with the instructor on hand to give advice and encouragement and ensure your safety.

By the end of the course you should be able to skipper a small yacht in familiar waters by day. Experience being in charge, taking credit when it all goes well and being responsible when it doesn’t.

International Certificate of Competency (ICC ) Application

If you would like to add on your ICC to your booking please inform our advisors at time of booking. There is a direct fee to the RYA for this, for more information please go to:
